New Home Sales, which measures signed contracts on new homes, were up 4.9% in February, which was stronger than the 1.3% gain expected. The level of sales is at the highest level in 11 months. The median new house price fell 3.6% to $315,300...but that doesn't mean home prices went down, it just means half of the homes sold above and half of the homes sold below that number. There were 340,000 new homes on the market last month, down 0.6% from January.
