Pending Home Sales, which measures signed contracts on existing homes and is a good leading indicator for Existing Home Sales, were up 4.6% in January. This was much stronger than the 0.8% gain expected. Pending Home Sales are now down 2.3% year over year, which is a big improvement from 10% last month.
