Case-Shiller Home Price Index
The Case-Shiller Home Price Index, which is considered the "gold standard" for appreciation, showed home prices rose 1% in September and 19.5% year over year, which was slightly lower than the previous reading. This was the second time since early 2020 we have not seen a year over year increase.
The 20-city index also rose 0.8% in September and 19.1% year over year. Phoenix, Tampa, and Miami reported the highest annual gains.
Phoenix: 33.1%
Tampa: 27.7%
Miami: 25.2%
